Wescom Resources Group Partners with Innovision Corporation to Offer OFX Services to Credit Unions Nationwide
Innovision Financial Server, integrated with Wescom Resources Group’s home banking platform, helps
streamline the exchange of member account information over the Internet.
Pasadena, CA (February 7, 2005) - Wescom Resources Group (WRG), a leading provider of cost-effective and
comprehensive technology solutions to credit unions, announced today it has partnered with OFX (Open Financial
Exchange) solution provider Innovision Corporation. This partnership provides for the integration of
Innovision’s OFX protocol solution, Innovision Financial Server, with WRG’s home banking platform.
As a result, credit unions will streamline the exchange of member account information over the Internet.
According to Bill Cary, CEO of Innovision, this partnership broadens the availability of the OFX solution used
by some of the world’s largest financial services companies to a larger group of credit unions.
WRG’s customers will benefit from Innovision’s extensive OFX experience, the ease with which OFX
services will be delivered through WRG’s online banking platform and the proven dependability of
Innovision Financial Server.
"In the short term, we hope to accelerate the implementation of Innovision Financial Server within the
credit union industry," says Cary. "Long term, each implementation of Innovision solutions puts us a
step closer to our corporate vision of 'Protocols Everywhere'."
Innovision’s 'Protocols Everywhere' vision is based on the premise that the adoption of software
protocols, OFX for example, simplifies the exchange of information over various networks. Protocols save time
and money, as well as enable the development of more feature-rich applications for businesses and consumers.
"In addition, since Wescom is such a well-respected name within the credit union community," Cary
adds, "this partnership improves our ability to reach more credit unions that want to offer OFX services
to their members."
"This partnership with Innovision makes it more compelling for credit unions to adopt online financial
services," states Kevin Sarber, president of Wescom Resources Group. "Providing our clients with OFX
capabilities gives them one more online channel to offer their members to access and manage their accounts. We
look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Innovision, which we feel will benefit the credit union
industry as a whole."
OFX is a unified specification for the electronic exchange of financial data between financial institutions,
businesses and consumers via the Internet. It is designed to support a wide range of financial activities
including consumer and small business banking; consumer and small business bill payment and investments
transaction download, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
